I have been on a weight loss journey for many, many years! And the older that you get the harder it is to loose those unwanted pounds. But I have never given up!
The sweet tooth runs in my dad's side of the family, REALLY BAD!! I discovered this when my grandma Bahr passed away many years ago. My parents took care of my grandma the last few years of her life and she stayed in my childhood room. After my grandma passed we were packing up her things and we found candy stashes all over the room. Not just one or two places, her favorite pieces of chocolates and candy's were tucked into drawers, behind knick knacks on a shelf, and even under her mattress!
So at her burial, I decided that I wanted to honor her by passing out mini chocolate pieces to everyone that attended. To my shock, the "grandma" stories that I heard from family members that was given a piece of chocolate were quite similar. "I crave sweets all the time!", I have to have a piece of chocolate after I eat a meal!", and the stories went on and on.
I realized that this sweet tooth ran in my dad's family! That's why I craved sweets, and I also had to have a small piece of chocolate after I ate dinner. So, no matter what I tried to do, I always had those cravings which to this day, I still have!
My Blackstone Griddle is the perfect tool to use for my weight loss!! I have made several healthy griddle meals before but was never consistent with it .... Until recently!!
